About PolishLinux.org
Wednesday, 16 November 2005, michuk
PolishLinux.org website was created in July 2006 as an English version of a Polish JakiLinux.org portal. The main focus of the website was to provide decent guidelines on choosing the right Linux/BSD distribution by introducing distro reviews, the distro chooser and distro comparison tables. Read more about the history of PolishLinux.org.
Currently, the portal is focusing more and more on original articles targeted at UNIX newcomers. The articles are usually written by Polish authors and our main goal is to help you polish your GNU/Linux by using the tips and tricks we provide. This strange combination made us call the portal PolishLinux which introduced a lot of confusion among the readers, but oh well, we can live with that
Currently the portal is actively supported by the following people:
- michuk — creator
- Adam M. and alkordw — editors-in-chief
- t_ziel — our main distro editor, personally a BSD fan
- Riklaunim — distro reviews and other articles
- Bob_R — our webmaster and designer
- trashcat — proof-reading, articles
- Bastion — KDE updates
- chaddy, Steven Walker, Kayleigh Wilson, Phillip Smith, Nazar Rusli, Howard Banks — our proof-readers
