		<description>just depends on the quality of emergency i guess. when behind a firewall/proxy you detect that your server is down it might be the best way to get it up again quickly. if you trust your providers.

		<description>It's nice to see someone writing a summary article. Linux authors tend to furnish a lot of detail about subsets of information and do not provide a big picture.

This article has helped me and now I have a framework to understand other articles and learn more about SSH.

		<description>Shameless plug ... Linux users who want a GUI to manage SSH sessions should take a look at &lt;a href="http://sshmenu.sourceforge.net/" rel="nofollow"&gt;SSHMenu&lt;/a&gt;.  It works with your SSHAgent so you can have a passphrase on your key and it will prompt you to unlock it the first time.  SSHMenu also allows you to set colours and fonts for terminal windows so you can visually distinguish production servers for example.</description>
