I’m happy to announce that significant efforts have just started in order to translate the key parts of the PolishLinux.org vortal into Italian! The translation is done via new Italian wiki: wiki.perchelinux.org — everyone who knows both Italian and English is welcome to join (no registration is needed, just come and edit)!

If you like the Linux Distribution Comparison feature on our vortal, you can now help improving it on the new community Wiki. You can modify and enhance the information about your favorite distro’s features and all your changes will be visible on the production site (just after verification). By the way, anyone can edit the information, no registration needed whatsoever!
Fedora Core description updated

Thanks to Rahul Sundaram of the Fedora Project, we managed to correct the Fedora Core description on our vortal (mainly removed a lot of outdated information). We are still looking for a new Fedora editor for PolishLinux.org!
PolishLinux recovered after being slashdotted

As you may know, we’ve been slashdotted. It seems like the Slashdot effect is much harder to handle than the digg effect. As a temporary solution, I deactivated all PolishLinux feeds, as it seems they were responsible for the high load of MySQL. Update: RSS is back now.
Friendly “Help me choose a distro!” forum

A new online forum has been created on nuxified.org devoted to helping new GNU/Linux users choose their first distribution. As fas as I know, it’s the first anly only online online forum when you can ask a question “Which distro should I pick?” without getting bashed.

PolishLinux.org has a web forum now. It can be accessed by typing forum.polishlinux.org in your browser. The forum is hosted by nuxified.org. We strongly encourage to post your feedback and any suggestions on improving the vortal there.
PolishLinux.org got out of beta

The vortal has just left the beta stage and has been rebranded at the same time. Enigmatic en.jakilinux.org name has been changed to PolishLinux.org. Why PolishLinux? Because our goal is to provide you the knowledge to polish your Linux box according to your needs.
