Oh by the way these lists are in some cases years out of date.

Any chance of updates or is this portion of the site no longer maintained.

There are inaccuracy’s and things that have changed and some of the info is no longer valid and would confuse new Linux users or prospective Linux users.

The reason the corporate world has not caught on is because the people with the check books and money to spend are not generally the people who understand anything about technology and very rarely listen to the advice of those in their organizations that do.

Also consider the massive effort it would take to retrain your entire staff on a new OS at a company of say 5000 people. Even if 70% of them acclimated the changes well the other 30% would bring everything to a stand still.

It is possible to do as you are saying but it would need several years to actually implement these changes in shops that are currently fully M$.

It sure would be nice though.

I was a long time XPer. I took all my systems and networks and installed Fedora. I’m now on Fedora 12. I vow to never go back. There is nothing I can’t do with Fedora-12 I couldn’t do with MicroshitXP. I have never had a disabling crash having to reboot, or heaven for bid, reinstall like I used to with Gate-ware. I don’t understand why the corporate world hasn’t caught on to the power and economics of Linux. I just don’t get it.
