Plus I am not a KDE fan but I am willing to use it because it can be tweaked and made nice, once set up it is no bother. Why Mepis over Ubuntu or even Kubuntu? At present I don’t want to be bothered with installing codecs and extensions for things that should just work. Mepis installed and worked without any hassles.Then there are the network tools and utilities that work without fussing with the command line. I think I found a winner in Mepis and will leave millionaire funded OS’s in the corner for now. Mepis has some coolness and I appreciate that.

…that’s another awesome point: The forums are extremely friendly and helpful, and quick to respond. That in itself is almost enough reason to stick with Mepis. :-)
