Polish Linux is an independent blog about Linux and the wider open-source world. We cover the six distributions people actually install, the security changes that matter, the software worth your muscle memory, and the how-tos that get you unstuck — plus the people and processes behind the code.
What we believe
Every distribution is a set of trade-offs, not a moral position. Good documentation beats a good argument. The terminal is a tool, not a test. And the software running the internet is kept alive by a surprisingly small number of people who deserve more support than they get.
How we stay independent
We run one clearly-labelled sponsor slot and a short, hand-set directory of tools and projects we actually use. No trackers, no pop-ups, no analytics, no dates chasing you around the page. If you want to keep it that way, sponsor a slot or subscribe to stdin.
Accuracy
Commands, package managers and defaults are checked against how these tools actually behave. Where something is a judgement call, we say so. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
